Police instructed to not take movement forms and passports from citizens during the checks
Armenian Commandant for the state of emergency, Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan informed about a new directive issued to the Police of Armenia. “To avoid a direct contact and prevent the spread of the virus, the Police is instructed to check the movement forms of the citizens and their passports/ID cards without taking them from citizens instead asking to show them,” Avinyan said on Facebook.
The decision came after concerns that a form could also become a source of the spread of the infection since police officers are set to check the forms of thousands of people amid the recent restriction of public movement.
Avinyan next informed that an electronic form of the movement document is now available through the link: https://ac19.am/app/mobility. “After filling out your data, a special electronic non-edible document will be generated, that will give all necessary information to the police officer who approaches to check the form. Apart from the opportunity created by AC19.am website, you may also make use of mobile Apps created by our IT companies if those are in line with the decision on the restriction of people’s movement,” Avinyan added.
