One more serviceman tests positive for coronavirus in Armenia
One more serviceman has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Armenia, bringing the total number of cases to six in the army, Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said in a Facebook post.
All the confirmed COVID-19 cases are linked to the first case reported in a military unit not involved in combat tasks, she said.
The serviceman has been hospitalized and is in a satisfactory condition, Shushan Stepanyan said.
Meanwhile, echoing the defense minister’s remarks made at the cabinet meeting on Monday, she said that dozens of servicemen isolated after returning from foreign trips and those self-isolated after having contacts with the first confirmed case have returned to service after testing negative for the virus and continue performing their duties.
