Artsakh CEC releases initial presidential election results
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Artsakh has released the preliminary results of the presidential elections held in the country on Tuesday.
According to the initial outcome, in the capital of Stepanakert, presidential candidates Arayik Harutyunyan garnered 11,869 votes, Masis Mayilyan received 8,455 votes, while Vitaly Balasanyan secured 3,959 votes.
In Askeran, Arayik Harutyunyan received 4,445 votes, Vitaly Balasanyan – 2,226 votes and Masis Mayilyan – 1,589 votes.
Arayik Harutyunyan is also leading Hadrut polls with 3,610 votes, followed by Masis Mayilyan with 1,278 votes and Vitaly Balasanyan with 890 votes.
In Martuni, Arayik Harutyunyan again garnered the largest number of votes – 6,131. Masis Mayilyan gained 3,178 votes, while Vitaly Balasanyan received 1,378 votes.
Arayik Harutyunyan is leading the polls in Shahumyan with 888 votes. Masis Mayilyan comes second with 323 votes and Vitaly Balasanyan is the third with 200 votes.
In Shushi, Arayik Harutyunyan secured 1,297 votes, followed by Masis Mayilyan with 684 votes. Some 543 Shushi residents voted for Vitaly Balasanyan.
In Kashatagh, 2,714 voters cast ballots for Arayik Harutyunyan. 1,048 people voted for Masis Mayilyan and 217 – for Vitaly Balasanyan.
According to preliminary results of the voting held at the election precinct set up in Yerevan, Arayik Harutyunyan received 191 votes, Masis Mayilyan – 103 votes and Vitaly Balasanyan – 65 votes.
The results of the polls in Martakert region have not been announced yet.
