Pashinyan: 2016 April War gave an answer to most important question
At the beginning of a regular cabinet meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who chaired the meeting, proposed government members to observe one minute’s silence to pay tribute to the victims of the 2016 April War, with April 2 marking the fourth anniversary of the war.
In Pashinyan’s words, there are various assessments and opinions on the four-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
"I believe the war gave an answer to the most important question. And the question was the following: to what extent is the independence generation able to protect the security and sovereignty of its homeland?” he said.
“I think that answer was given in an eloquent manner, since the soldiers of our independence generation, and not only, of course, performed unparalleled heroic acts, eventually answering the most important question.
“Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian people should rest assured that a new generation equally ready to stand for the defense of the homeland has joined the representatives of the first generation of the Artsakh Liberation War,” the PM stressed.
