Buses set to transport health workers to hospitals in Yerevan
By the decision of Commandant Tigran Avinyan and upon the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, buses belonging to the Yerevan community will be used to transport around 650 healthcare workers of 30 medical facilities in the capital from home to work.
In a Facebook post on Friday, mayor's spokesman Hakob Karapetyan said buses serving 40 routes will take employees to hospitals and back home three times a day from April 3.
Due to the stranded public transport under tougher measures to combat the coronavirus outbreak in the country, many medical workers had to reach hospitals by taxi, paying out of their own pocket.
