Artsakh soldier wounded in Azerbaijani shooting
A soldier of the Artsakh Defense Army was wounded in Azerbaijan’s cross border shooting in the military post of an eastern military unit on Sunday evening.
The serviceman, identified as Arayik R. Shakhpazyan (b. 2000), was immediately hospitalized. He is in a satisfactory condition, the Artsakh Defense Ministry said in a statement.
A probe into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
“The Ministry of Defense of the Artsakh Republic calls on the adversary to refrain from provocative actions and declares that in the event of further escalation of the situation, the entire responsibility for the consequences will rest with the Azerbaijani side," the statement read.
