Armenia’s crisis management center reports 13 fatalities in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 168 calls from March 30 to April 5, of which 77 were emergency cases.
The number included 37 fire calls, 5 landslide calls, 1 call of rockfall, 22 road traffic accidents, 9 suicide attempts and 61 household calls, which affected 34 people. One citizen was rescued.
“Unfortunately, 13 fatalities were recorded last week. Also, 5 poisoning cases affecting 16 citizens were registered,” the ministry said in a statement.
11 vehicles ended up stuck over the past week due to bad weather or other factors. Rescuers provided assistance to 16 citizens, taking 12 vehicles to a safe place.
