PM: 68-year-old coronavirus patient dies in Armenia
A total of 236 people were tested for coronavirus in Armenia on Sunday, with only 11 tests producing positive results, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a Facebook live on Monday, signaling a sharp decline in COVID-19 cases from the previous days.
The PM also said a 68-year-old coronavirus patient, who had bilateral pneumonia and underlying health conditions, has died, bringing the national death toll to 8.
In Pashinyan’s words if the positive dynamics continues in the next few days, it will mean that the tough coronavirus measures causing “numerous inconveniences” have started giving results.
“If we more strictly comply with the restrictions imposed by the Commandant’s Office during this week, our chances for easing the measures from next Monday and starting to think about returning to normal life will grow,” he said.
