Government expands the scope of beneficiaries to help with utility bills
The government adopted on Tuesday the twelfth measure aimed at neutralizing the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak for approval of government members. The decision comes to expand the scope of social assistance to certain citizens in the form of one-time compensation for utility payments.
The beneficiaries of the measure are those subscribers of the natural gas and electricity, whose gas and electricity bills for February 2020 did not exceed 30,000 drams and 10,000 drams, respectively. The government is set to reimburse 30% of the bills.
