Artsakh president-elect comments on Robert Kocharyan’s measure of restraint
The Free Homeland Party of Artsakh called for changing former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan’s measure of restraint long ago, the party’s leader, President-elect of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan told a news conference on Wednesday.
He recalled that his party had also appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia to release the ex-president if possible.
According to him, the deputies representing his party also collected signatures.
"But I want to announce today that we have never questioned the conduct of the Armenian justice system.
“When it was necessary, we made statements and filed a motion, but today I want to state that it’s for the Armenian judiciary to make decisions and I don’t want to meddle in or assess the activity of Armenia’s judicial system,” Harutyunyan said.
