Armenian parliament passes all government-drafted bills
The Armenian National Assembly resumed its regular session on Thursday, putting to a vote the bills discussed on Wednesday.
In particular, the package of draft laws on amendments and supplements to the law “On Securities Market” introduced by the government was adopted in the first reading by a vote of 80 for, 17 against and 17 abstentions.
Lawmakers also voted 99 to 1 to pass the government-drafted package of bills on confiscation of property of illicit origin.15 MPs abstained from voting.
The package of draft laws proposing changes to the television, radio and advertising laws also passed the second and final reading with 114 votes in favor.
In addition, the National Assembly adopted the package of draft laws on amendments to the law “On State Pensions" introduced by My Step faction MPs Narek Zeynalyan and Hayk Konjoryan. The bill received 116 votes for.
The package of draft laws on amendments and supplements to the law “On State Pensions" submitted by the government was adopted in the first reading by a vote of 80 for, 16 against and 18 abstentions.
The government-drafted bill proposing amendments and supplements to the law on employment was adopted in the first reading, with 115 MPs voting for and 1 against.
Also, passing the first reading was the Labor Code bill introduced by My Step faction MP Rustam Bakuyan. 114 deputies voted for the measure, while 3 abstained.
The parliament adopted in the second and final reading the government-drafted bill proposing amendments to the law “On State Awards and Honorary Titles of Armenia” by a vote of 115 for and 2 abstentions.
