Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to be closed to public on 24 April amid coronavirus
The Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex in Yerevan will be closed to all visitors on 24 April, the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
In a statement on Wednesday, police said all pedestrian and vehicle routes leading to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial are shut down from April 21 to April 25, 10pm.
Violating the rules will lead to legal consequences, police said.
"Dear citizens, in order to avoid irreversible consequences amid the pandemic, we call on everyone to treat the decision with understanding," the statement reads.
