Armenia lifts restrictions on interregional movement, some economic activities
Commandant, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan has signed a decision to lift the restrictions on interregional movement and some types of economic activity as part of efforts to gradually ease the coronavirus lockdown in the country.
According to the decision, the ban on interregional movement will be lifted and the respective checkpoints will be removed. Instead, the authorities will focus on the tightened control on the remaining restrictions.
Avinyan also did not rule out the possibility of imposing new restrictions in some communities worst-hit by coronavirus.
“The restrictions on the movement of people and public transport will remain in force,” he said.
Certain operations related to the processing industry, wholesale and retail trade, automobile repair, communications, services, real estate, to name a few, are allowed, according to the decision.
Other businesses not covered by the decision can submit an online application at https://covid19.gov.am/hy for the possibility of being allowed to operate.
