Cypriot president tweets tribute to Armenian Genocide victims
President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades on Friday tweeted a tribute to the Armenian Genocide victims on the 105th anniversary of the tragedy.
“Today marks the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide perpetuated by the Ottoman Empire. Cyprus remembers the victims of this abhorrent crime and honors them by supporting the efforts for the recognition of the genocide by the international community,” he wrote.
