Snow hits parts of Armenia
Roads in Armenia are mostly open to traffic as of 9:40am Friday, April 24, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
The roadways leading to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province remain closed indefinitely.
Roads of Gegharkunik Province are difficult to pass for all types of vehicles, while Dilijan serpentine roads are difficult to pass for trucks.
Aparan-Aragats and Aparan-Tsaghkahovit highways are icy. Snowstorm has hit the section called Chayni turns.
Snowfalls are reported in Vanadzor city, the towns of Spitak, Stepanavan, Tashir (Lori Province), Jermuk (Vayots Dzor Province), Artik, Maralik (Shirak Province) Talin (Aragatsotn Province), Dilijan (Tavush Province), Aparan region, as well as Syunik, Kotayk and Gegharkunik Provinces.
