Georgia reports 25 more COVID-19 cases
Georgia has reported 25 new cases of coronavirus increasing the total number of cases to 456. The medical director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia told journalists that the high number of new cases was the result of ‘aggressive testing’ which was carried out throughout the country yesterday, agenda.ge reported.
According to the source, out of the total 456, 132 have recovered five have died, 317 remain infected and two foreigners returned home.
It is reminded that Georgia has extended the state of emergency until May 22 to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. Restrictions on the use of private cars will be in force through April 26. However, on April 27-28, those who left the cities of Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Kutaisi will be able to return to their places of registration.
