Snow reported in number of towns in Armenia
The roadways in the territory of Armenia are mainly passable as of April 25 on 08.30, the country’s ministry of emergency situations (MES) reported. Roadways leading to Amberd fortress and lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province are going to be closed for an indefinite period of time.
According to the source, Vardenyats pass is difficult to pass for trucks. Clear ice is observed on Saravan-Zanger section of Vayots Dzor province and roads of Syunik province.
It is snowing in Jermuk town of Vayots Dzor marz, Dilijan turns in Tavush region, Charentsavan town of Kotayk region, Sisian town of Syunik region, Martuni, Vadenis, Gavar towns of Gegharkunik province as well as in Shirak.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open only for trucks after intensive snow removal.
