Restrictions in Armenia’s Maralik and Dzorakap extended
Restrictions on entry into and exit from the town of Maralik and the village of Dzorakap in Armenia’s Shirak Province have been extended until April 30, Governor of Shirak Tigran Petrosyan said on Facebook, citing the commandant’s decision.
Maralik and Dzorakap were sealed off on April 18 in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
“According to the regional officials of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, this will make the situation in those settlements more controllable in terms of preventing the further spread of the infectious disease,” the governor wrote.
“We express gratitude to the people of Maralik and Dzorakap settlements for treating the restrictions with understanding and taking a responsible stance,” he added.
