Yerevan Municipality launches tender for 100 new buses
The Yerevan Municipality has launched a tender to acquire 100 new buses in an effort to reform the public transport in the city, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan said on Facebook.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a sovereign loan of up to €25 million to Armenia for the benefit of Yerevan and the municipal transport company to be established to operate the bus network in the Armenian capital, the description of the project on the bank website reads.
The project will finance the purchase of new modern 12-metre low-floor compressed natural gas (CNG) buses.
Proposals can be submitted by June 12, the mayor said.
