Commandant: Beauty salons, hair salons most likely to be allowed to reopen in Armenia from May 4
The intensity of the spread of coronavirus infection at this stage allows the government to ease some restrictions, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, who also coordinates the government’s measures against coronavirus, said during an online interview as part of the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) INSTALIVE series.
The official highlighted that some restrictions on people’s self-quarantine, in construction and processing industry sectors have already been lifted, Aravot.am reported.
“Most likely, from May 4, more restrictions will be lifted again in the manufacturing industry and the service sector, in particular, beauty salons, hair salons and several other similar types of services will be allowed to reopen, but certain rules must be observed,” he said.
In the future, the possibility of reopening outdoor cafes will be considered, Avinyan said, adding indoor food facilities will be allowed to reopen in a more distant future.
Meanwhile, the commandant said, public transport as risky place for infection will not operate at least until mid-May.
