Georgia reports 22 new cases of coronavirus
Georgia reported 22 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 539.
178 patients of the 539 have recovered, while six others have died, Agenda.ge reports.
5,256 people are under quarantine in the country and 548 others are in hospitals.
15 of the 22 new cases are connected with Tetritskaro municipality, three new patients are from Svaneti region and the remaining four individuals are from Bolnisi municipality.
Director General of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Tengiz Tsertsvadze says that Georgia may have an increase in the coronavirus cases in the coming week and then the figures will go down.
The country has already lifted several coronavirus-related restrictions, including restrictions on the use of private vehicles.
