Georgia reports 27 new cases of coronavirus
Georgia reported 27 new cases of coronavirus on Friday morning, bringing the total number of cases to 566.
184 patients of the 566 have recovered, while six others have died, Agenda.ge reports.
As of today 374 remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.
5,320 people are under quarantine in the country and 548 others are in hospitals.
Head of the National Disease Control Centre Amiran Gamkrelidze says that Georgia has managed to contain the spread of the virus.
Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze stated on Thursday that at least 1,000 individuals will be tested for COVID-19 in Georgia on a daily basis.
The country has already lifted several coronavirus-related restrictions, including restrictions on the use of private vehicles.
