Coronavirus update: Armenia reports 102 new cases on May 7
Armenia has confirmed 102 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of cases to 2,884 in the country as of 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, the Ministry of Health reports.
50 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 1,185.
The number of COVID-19 fatalities has reached 42 after two more patients died on Wednesday.
The latest victims were 78 (male) and 66 years old (male) and had underlying chronic health conditions, the ministry said.
Two more cases of death were recorded on Wednesday when the patients had tested positive for coronavirus, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such death cases is 9.
1,648 patients with COVID-19 are currently undergoing treatment.
As many as 28,017 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
