Tribute paid to the memory of fallen warriors in Victory park
The political leadership of Armenia visited Victory park on Saturday on the occasion of victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 28th anniversary of liberation of Shushi.
His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, high-ranking state officials, war veterans laid flowers at the eternal flame of the Unknown Soldier’s monument and paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives to defend Fatherland.
The participants next observed the March of Honor of the war veterans toward the monument.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people’s entry to the park has been limited this year. Later today an air show of helicopters and a festive concert will take place.
