Nork Infectious Clinical Hospital has published a photo on its Facebook page, featuring the chief nurse Roza Podosyan, senior nurses Hasmik Hambaryan, Armine Mirzoyan, Anna Stepanyan, Nazani Harutyunyan and Lusine Janoyan.

“Nursing personnel comprise the largest proportion of patient care givers and in the medical practice they provide the most of the health service,” the source said.

International Nurses Day was initiated by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) in 1974. The day marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who was born in 1820. She is revered as the founder of modern nursing. The International Nurses Day 2020 marks her 200th birth anniversary. The day highlights the important role nurses fulfill in health care.
