PM Pashinyan holds press conference, sums up anti-crisis measures adopted amid the pandemic
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is holding a regular press conference with media representatives on Saturday. In his introductory remarks, the PM noted the press conference is devoted to the second anniversary of the revolution and sums up another 100 facts about the his government activities for the period.
In the beginning, Pashinyan focused on the government’s anti-crisis programmes aimed at mitigating the negative consequences of the pandemic crisis, providing statistics of all 18 activities of assistance adopted by the government to date.
In the PM’s words, as of May 15, in total, 48,400 economic entities and 1.1 million physical entities have benefited from the social and economic programs in the amount of 84.4 billion drams. The activities included financial assistance to hardest-hit SMEs and companies, social program addressed those workers who at some time lost their jobs and whose families have children under the age of 14 year, reimbursing tuition fees of students, preferential loans for companies, agricultural loans, utility pays among other categories of beneficiaries.
