Ex-President Kocharyan renominated to serve as Independent Director at AFK Sistema Board of Directors
Armenia's former President Robert Kocharyan is set to be reappointed to the Board of Directors of a leading Russian corporation AFK Sistema. As the company said in a press statement, the decision was announced at the meeting of its Board of Directors held on 16 May. Kocharyan is nominated to serve as Independent Director the ex-president has served since 2009.
Kocharyan’s nomination along with the list of other nominees will be approved at the annual meeting of shareholders scheduled for 27 June.
“The decision of the Russian Sistema corporation which plays a major role in the world economy, speaks of Kocharyan's reputation, modern approaches to management and the confidence in him," Viktor Soghomonyan, the Head of ex-president's Office commented on the report.
AFK Sistema is a large Russian conglomerate company based in Moscow.
