Armenia, Tajikistan define priority directions of further cooperation
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held a phone conversation on Wednesday with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin. As the press department at the foreign ministry reported, the counterparts exchanged views on the steps being undertaken at national level to address the challenges posed by Covid-19.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan thanked Mukhtar Tileuberdi for the assistance provided to the Armenian community in Tajikistan during the pandemic and highlighted the role of the community in strengthening the dialogue between the two countries.
The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, expressing readiness to intensify the Armenia-Tajikistan cooperation in the areas of mutual interest through high-level visits, consultations between Foreign Ministries and meetings of intergovernmental commission.
The ministers pointed to number of priority directions for cooperation, trade and economic sector, the energy, technology, science, IT and cultural-humanitarian spheres among them.
The foreign ministers also touched upon the issues of cooperation within international and region frameworks, including the UN, CSTO and the CIS.
The ministers also discussed a number of issues of regional and international agenda, the source said.
