Lavrov says Russia, Armenia enjoy close military cooperation
Armenian-Russian relations are characterized as allied and are allied in reality, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov told reporters on Tuesday after an online conference of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers. The Russian top diplomat added, that refers to the cooperation with the CSTO and in bilateral relations.
“The military cooperation is very close,” Lavrov said, reminding of the Russian military base in Armenia that ‘supports to preserve the regional security and stability.’ As to the military-technical assistance provided by Russia to Armenia, an efficient and close work is underway which is more than a dialogue.
