
Sardarapat Memorial to be closed to public for Republic Day
Sardarapat memorial complex will remain closed for general public and vehicles on May 28, as Armenia will mark the Republic Day. As the Police reported, the decision is made for precautionary reasons to avoid public gatherings and and spread of the coronavirus.
Police added those violating the regulation will face administrative offenses.
To note, May 28 is marked as the First Republic Day, when the Armenian statehood was restored in 1918, and the National Council declared the establishment of the Independent Republic of Armenia on May 28.
