8 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Meghri
8 new coronavirus infections have been registered in Meghri town, in the south of Armenia, Syunik governor’s office reported on Thursday.
“The statistics of the past days show that despite numerous warnings, the public continues ignoring the safety measures which has led to new cases of coronavirus,” the press statement said.
The Governor’s office once agains calls on citizens to stay vigilant and responsible as the active and passive spread of the virus depends on the behavior of each member of the society.
Among recommendations by province authorities are wearing face masks and gloves, using hand sanitizers, keeping the social distance, limiting the the circle of interactions and avoiding large gatherings.
To date, 68 citizens have tested positive for Covid-19 in Syunik province, 52 of whom have recovered. The most cases of the infection have been registered in Sisian town (11 citizens). Some 15 patients continue treatment at Kapan medical centre.
