Russia adds 8,371 COVID-19 cases, total reaches 379,051
Russia confirmed 8,371 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, raising its total number of infections to 379,051, Xinhua reported, citing the country's coronavirus response center.
The death toll increased by 174 to 4,142, while 150,993 people have recovered, including 8,785 over the last 24 hours, according to the statement.
Moscow, the country's worst-hit region, confirmed 2,054 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking its total to 173,497.
As of Wednesday, 300,312 people were under medical observation, Russia's consumer rights and human well-being watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said in a statement Thursday.
More than 9.7 million lab tests for COVID-19 have been conducted across the country so far, it added.
