Hero of Artsakh Vitaly Balasanyan extended congratulations on Republic Day celebrated in Armenia on 28 May, highlighting that it is a symbolic day for all Armenians as it summarizes the nation's path and its transmission to future generations. His congratulatory message reads:
"On May 28, Armenia, Artsakh, and all Armenians around the globe celebrate the First Republic Day.
On 28 May 1918 the Armenian National Council announced the establishment of the independent Republic of Armenia, a symbol of the rebirth of the Armenian statehood. The First Republic of Armenia is a solid foundation of Armenia's statehood.
The restoration of statehood was crucial for the Armenian people. It was the First Republic that marked the start of the Armenian state thinking, preservation of the Armenian identity, re-establishment and preservation of national values.
May 28 is one of our national symbols, which sums up the path of the nation and its transmission to future generations.
Congratulations on May 28!
Long live the Armenian statehood!"
