Armenia’s Jermuk among top 5 health resorts in CIS countries
Russia’s TurStat analytical agency has included Armenia’s resort town Jermuk into the list of best health-improving resorts among the CIS countries.
The list is topped by Lake Narach in north-western Belarus. Apart from Jermuk, Burabay resort in Kazakhstan, Naftalan in Azerbaijan, and Lake Issyk-Kul in the northern Kyrgyzstan are among the list.
According to the research tourists in average spend 3 thousand rubles daily in the CIS health resorts.
To note, Jermuk is a mountain spa town and is considered of the popular destinations for medical tourism. The resort is known for its hot springs and mineral water brands bottled in the town. It is attractive for its fresh air, waterfall, artificial lakes, walking trails, the surrounding forests and mineral water pools.
