Armenia’s coronavirus tally climbs to 9,492 on June 1
Armenia has confirmed 210 new coronavirus infections, bringing the national tally to 9,492 as of 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, the Ministry of Health reports.
16 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 3,402.
The COVID-19 fatalities have grown by 8 to 139. The latest victims were 81 (male), 63 (male), 65 (male), 73 (female), 82 (female), 67 (male), 81 (male) and 69 (female) years old. Except for the last patient, all had underlying chronic health conditions, the ministry said.
In addition, 5 cases of death were recorded on Sunday when the patients had tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 55.
The number of active cases is 5,896.
As many as 58,668 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
