Coronavirus: Armenia reports 425 new cases, 295 recoveries on June 16
Armenia has confirmed 425 new coronavirus infections, bringing the national tally to 17,489 as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, the Ministry of Health reports.
295 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 6,571.
The COVID-19 deaths have grown by 8 to 293.
The latest victims were 81 (female), 82 (male), 65 (female), 72 (female), 70 (female), 63 (male), 86 (female) and 88 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions, the ministry said.
In addition, 2 cases of death were recorded on Monday when the patients tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 96.
The number of active cases is 10,529.
As many as 85,556 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
