Coronavirus: Armenia reports 544 new cases, 243 recoveries on June 17
Armenia has confirmed 544 new coronavirus infections, bringing the national tally to 18,033 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, the Ministry of Health reports.
243 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 6,814.
The COVID-19 deaths have grown by 9 to 302.
The latest victims were 64 (female), 69 (female), 80 (female), 72 (female), 67 (female), 72 (male), 59 (male), 42 (male) and 68 (female) years old. Except for the last one, all had underlying chronic health conditions, the ministry said.
In addition, 3 cases of death were recorded on Tuesday when the patients tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 99.
The number of active cases is 10,818.
As many as 87,600 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
