Lithuanian medics arrive in Armenia to assist in the fight against pandemic
A group of Lithuanian medics and experts arrived on Friday in Yerevan to provide assistance in fighting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As Armenia’s Unified Information Center reports, the mission is part of international cooperation and mutual assistance programme and will last for 14 days. The plane has also brought medical equipment and protective gear for Armenia, the source said.
The Lithuanian specialist were met at Zvartnots Airport By deputy ministers of healthcare and foreign affairs, the Lithuanian Ambassador, Charge d’Affaires of Sweden and the Head of EU Delegation to Armenia.
The mission has been funded by the Kingdom of Sweden and the European Union.
