Two new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Georgia, both ‘imported’ from Armenia
Two people have tested positive for the COVID-19 in Georgia on June 27 increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 921, agenda.ge reports.
The medical director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia told journalists that these are 'imported' cases as both infected individuals are truck drivers.
“They came from Armenia and were tested for Covid-19 in Georgia. One of them is a citizen of Armenia and is treated in our hospital. His health condition is satisfactory. The second patents is likely a citizen of Georgia,” Ezugbaia said.
As of today, 126 individuals remain infected in Georgia since the country reported its first coronavirus cases in late February.
