Armenia’s crisis management center handles 333 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 579 calls from June 22-28, of which 333 were emergency cases.
The number included 256 fire calls, one drowning case, 1 call of rockfall, one rockfall, one heavy hailstorm, one search and rescue operation, 46 road traffic accidents, 13 suicide attempts, 60 snake detections, as well as 131 household calls.
A total of 69 people were affected, while one citizen was rescued due to emergency responders’ efforts.
The past week also saw 7 poisoning cases.
The crisis management center reported 11 fatalities last week.
5 vehicles ended up stuck over the past week due to bad weather or other circumstances. Rescuers provided assistance to 13 citizens, taking 6 vehicles to a safe place.
