Media Advocate urges criminal proceedings against MPs with coronavirus who attended parliament session
Media Advocate initiative, led by Aghasi Yenokyan, calls for criminal proceedings against those lawmakers with COVID-19, who knew that they were infected but attended a National Assembly session earlier in June, the initiative said on Facebook.
Parliament Speaker Vahe Enfiajyan from the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) said on 23 June that he had been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus. Afterwards, PAP lawmakers Iveta Tonoyan, Karine Poghosyan, Arman Abovyan, Artur Grigoryan and Janibek Hayrapetyan were said to have contracted the virus, too.
Another PAP MP Naira Zohrabyan told reporters that all the infected deputies were in good condition.
Ruling My Step MPs Krisatine Poghosyan, Tsovinar Vardanyan, Hayk Gevorgyan, Viktor Yengibaryan and Aren Mkrtchyan also tested positive for coronavirus.
