We all need to ‘restart’ our anti-epidemiological behavior - Nikol Pashinyan
Despite the existing epidemiological situation in Armenia, the superficial observations on social media show that instead of promoting anti-epidemiological behavior most people advocate for ‘pro-epidemiological behavior’, PM Nikol Pashinyan stated on Monday at the briefing following the regular meeting at the Commandant Office.
The Prime Minister specifically pointed to photos on social media from mass events, gatherings and group pilgrimages during the weekend.
“I do not need to blame anyone but only to stress that we have largely ignored the anti-epidemic rules. Considering the scale of the phenomenon, I think we all need ‘to restart’ our anti-epidemiological behavior,” added the PM.
Pashinyan also called on heads of all state bodies and structures to take personal responsibility to ensure the safety and anti-epidemic rules in their organizations, while the Police should display high level of discipline among its servicemen.
The PM reminded that to date, 433 people have died of coronavirus in Armenia and the deaths continue. Some 123 patients with grave health condition are treated at hospitals, 529 - are in severe condition, while 1739 patients suffer from pneumonia.
