Administrative proceedings opened at two TV stations for anchors not wearing masks on air
Law-enforcement officers have visited the Fifth Channel on July 3 and opened administrative proceedings on the ground that TV anchors appeared on air without masks. According to Yerevan Today report, earlier today, the police officers had visited another TV company, Armnews with the same reason.
To note, the Chairman of the Commission of Television and Radio clearly stated that there has been set no requirement for TV anchors to wear face masks during news broadcast.
Days ago, the Union of Journalists of Armenia released a statement over the matter. According to it, the technical personnel in TV studios keeps a 1.5-2 meter distance from anchors according to standards which itself drops the requirement and implementation of the norm to wear masks.
