Armenia’s crisis management center handles 379 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 577 calls from June 29 to July 5, of which 379 were emergency cases.
The number included 272 fire calls, one drowning case, two collapses, two cases of heavy hailstorm, one strong wind case, two cases of torrential rains, two search and rescue cases, 72 road traffic accidents, 11 suicide attempts, 33 snake detections, as well as 117 household calls.
A total of 99 people were affected, while two citizens was rescued due to emergency responders’ efforts.
The past week also saw 9 poisoning cases.
The crisis management center reported 8 fatalities last week.
7 vehicles got stuck in the period due to bad weather or other circumstances. Rescuers provided assistance to 14 citizens, taking 7 vehicles to a safe place.
