Armenia’s coronavirus case tally tops 33,000 on July 15
Armenia has confirmed 515 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 33,005 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, the Ministry of Health reports.
619 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 21,348.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 11 to 592.
The latest victims were 82 (female), 63 (female), 90 (male), 77 (female), 75 (female), 53 (male), 88 (female), 84 (male), 62 (female), 84 (male) and 88 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.
In addition, according to the ministry, 5 cases of death were recorded in the past 24 hours when the patients tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 189.
The number of active cases is 10,876.
As many as 139,220 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
