PM asks president to posthumously award four Armenian servicemen killed in Azerbaijan border clashes
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia has signed a petition asking the president to posthumously award four servicemen martyred during clashes with Azerbaijani forces in the northeastern section of the border in Armenia’s Tavush Province.
“I have just signed a petition addressed to the president of the country on posthumously awarding Mayor Garush Hambardzumyan with the 2nd Degree Medal for Services to the Motherland, Captain Sos Elbakyan with the Medal for Courage, as well as Junior Sergeants Smbat Gabrielyan and Grisha Matevosyan with the Medals for Combat Service,” the PM said on Facebook.
“I bow down to you and your families, our perished brothers. We must be able to be worthy of you and your heroic deeds. And we shall be! Long live the victorious Armenian army!” he added.
