Confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia hit 34,001 on July 17
Armenia has confirmed 442 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 34,001 as of 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, the Ministry of Health reports.
561 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 22,492.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 13 to 620.
The latest victims were 56 (male), 53 (male), 51 (male), 64 (male), 70 (female), 76 (male), 84 (male), 73 (female), 79 (male), 68 (male), 49 (male), 62 (male) and 83 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.
In addition, according to the ministry, 8 cases of death were recorded in the past 24 hours when the patients tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 197.
The number of active cases is 10,692.
As many as 143,114 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
