Robert Kocharyan expresses ‘deep sorrow’ to friendly Lebanon over deadly explosion
Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan has expressed his deep sorrow to friendly Lebanon over the massive explosion that rocked the port area of Beirut on Tuesday, his Facebook page reported.
"Wishing strength and tenacity to the Armenian community of Beirut during this difficult time,” Kocharyan said.
The death toll from the blast keeps growing. According to the latest updates, the explosion has killed at least 100 people and injured more than 4,000 others. Six Armenians are said to be among the fatalities.
