Footage of brawl between Armenian parliament speaker, opposition activist released
A video of the violent clash between Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan and Artur Danielyan, the leader of the opposition Adekvat party, has been posted on social media.
The video shows that the parliament speaker was the first to attack the opposition activist, whose hands were behind his back.
The incident took place in a park in downtown Yerevan in April. They blamed each other for the brawl after both appeared to have suffered injuries.
In a video message, Simonyan claimed he head-butted Danielyan because the latter swore at him.
