PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan congratulates Lukashenko on re-election as Belarusian president
Leader of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan has offered congratulations to Alexander Lukashenko on his re-election as Belarusian president.
In his congratulatory message, Tsarukyan expressed confidence that thanks to Lukashenko’s efforts relations between Armenia and Belarus will gain new momentum, further strengthening the brotherly and friendly ties between the two peoples.
“I stand ready to make every effort to that end, too," the PAP leader said, wishing Lukashenko robust health and fruitful work.
Alexander Lukashenko has won 80.23% of the vote in Sunday’s election, according to a preliminary count. Opposition candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya has come in second with 9.90%.
